Let's Get Some Sun

Privacy, Cookies & Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: 7 June 2026

This page explains who we are, what personal information we collect when you use Let's Get Some Sun, how we use it, the cookies and similar technologies involved, and how we earn money through affiliate links. We've tried to keep it plain and honest.

1. Who we are

Let's Get Some Sun (the "Site", "we", "us") is a holiday-deal comparison and alert service operated by Rakesh Khambhaita, based in the United Kingdom.

For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at contact@letsgetsomesun.co.uk.

For the purposes of UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we are the "data controller" for the personal information described below.

2. What personal information we collect

We collect very little, and only what we need to run the service:

We do not ask for your name, payment details, or any other personal information. We do not buy or sell personal data.

3. How and why we use your information

Our legal basis for sending you marketing emails is your consent, which you give when you sign up. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see "Your choices and rights" below).

4. How long we keep it

We keep your email address and preferences for as long as you remain subscribed to alerts. If you unsubscribe, we remove or anonymise your details from our active mailing list. Standard server logs are kept only for a short period as part of normal hosting operations.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We aim to keep tracking to a minimum. Here is the honest position:

Our own use

The Site uses your browser's local storage to remember small preferences, such as whether you chose light or dark mode. This stays on your device, is not shared with us, and is not used to track you.

[If you add Google Analytics or any other analytics/advertising tool later, you MUST update this section to disclose it and add a cookie-consent banner. As written, this policy assumes you do NOT run third-party analytics or advertising cookies.]

Affiliate / third-party cookies

When you click a deal link and are taken to a travel provider's website, that provider — and the affiliate network that tracks the referral — may set their own cookies on your device. These cookies allow a booking you make to be credited to us so we can earn a commission (see the next section). These cookies are controlled by those third parties under their own privacy and cookie policies, not by us. You can manage or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.

6. Affiliate disclosure — how we make money

Let's Get Some Sun is free to use. We may earn a commission when you click through to a travel provider and make a booking. This is called affiliate marketing.

We work with affiliate networks and travel providers [e.g. Awin, Travelpayouts, and the providers shown on the Site] who handle the tracking and payment of commissions.

7. Who we share information with

We do not sell your data. We share personal information only where necessary to run the service:

8. Your choices and rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict our use of it, and to withdraw consent at any time.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.

9. Children

This Site is intended for adults booking holidays. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be made clear on the Site.
